and the Doctor

is dedicated to all children whoare ill and my own Doctor John. Manychildren have ailments far worse than Antor Bee’s, but I hope this story will help allill children through their loneliness.

All my

books are for shared

reading. If a parent or older child reads the black words I hope young patients might be able to join in the storytelling by calling out for the doctor printed in red.

ANT

BEE

One day Bee went ATISHOO!

Bee went ATISHOO again and again . . . ATISHOO! ATISHOO!

Bee had a sore throat and a wet nose and a hot head.

Ant said Bee must have caught a COLD!

Ant called the . . .

. . . doctor .

Thedoctorcame quickly to see Bee because thedoctorhad never seen a bee with a COLD!

Thedoctorsaid Bee must go to bed because the cold had made Bee hot!

Thedoctorsaid Bee had a red face because Bee was hot with fever from his cold!

Thedoctorsaid he would make Bee better with some medicine.

Thedoctor said he gave nice medicine but Bee wanted some orange juice to make the medicine nicer!

Thedoctorsaid goodbye and told Bee to be good in bed.
