Chapter 1

Olivia was very excited. Today, she was getting a new friend. Her parents brought home a blue kitten named Emma. Emma had a white heart on her chest. Olivia loved Emma at first sight. She gently petted Emma’s soft fur. Emma purred happily.

Chapter 2

That night, Olivia made a cozy bed for Emma. She used a soft blanket and her favorite pillow. Emma curled up and fell asleep quickly. Olivia watched Emma sleep. She felt very happy and proud. She whispered, «Goodnight, Emma.» Emma purred in her sleep.

Chapter 3

The next morning, Olivia woke up early. She wanted to play with Emma. Emma was already awake and ready to play. Olivia found a toy mouse for Emma. Emma chased the toy around the room. Olivia laughed and clapped her hands. They had so much fun together.

Chapter 4

Olivia’s mom showed her how to hold Emma gently. «Always be kind and gentle,» she said. Olivia carefully picked up Emma. Emma felt safe and happy. Olivia felt proud of herself. She knew it was important to be gentle. Emma snuggled closer to Olivia.
